Let's have a club vs. club championship for best chess club in KY. Someone can bronze a squirrel or something to pass around. Qualifiers could be by club, city, or region. Euro style or whatever. Let's just go!! Let's rock and roll with serious chess! We don't even need KCA do this. The relation can be figured later. Clubs can unite!
I don't know what to ask. I guess I want everything. So, cities will organize and challenge others. Let's go!! Why does nothing always happen!!
Let's go KY!

Hi Larry!
I don't know that I've ever met you in person, but I appreciate your enthusiasm. At the recent Kentucky Open, I stepped in to the VP position of the KCA. I have a few projects going presently to that end, and a possible club vs. club championship is actually something I'd love to see. I am currently the President of the Louisville Chess Club, which meets every Tuesday evening at La Bamba Mexican Restaurant (Bardstown Road) from 6pm - Midnight. The club has really taken off lately and is stronger than its been in over a decade. We have 9 or 10 different 1800+ rated players attending with some regularity (on any given night we're sure to have at least 5 or 6 of them turn out). I'm intending to speak with Jerry Baker soon about reviving the Louisville-Lexington Club match. I'd love to do it twice a year - once there and once here - but perhaps once annually is more feasible, alternating the host location. In any event, if you have some ideas or suggestions, I'd be receptive. You can even call me at 502-645-4202. I'd also love for you to visit the Louisville Chess Club and join our team. There are no fees or obligations. Kentucky chess could really benefit from you, both as a player and a member of the KCA think tank. I see you are a life member of USCF, but that lately you've only made sporadic cameos at the Kentucky Open. What can I do to get you to play? I'd love to get together. Cheers. _________________ Daniel Brennan (502)-645-4202
